The Edgar R. Garrett Speech and Hearing Center has provided services to Las Cruces and the surrounding areas for over 60 years. Combining instruction, evidenced-based practical experience, state of the art technology, and service, the center provides training for students in the Communication Disorders program and renders service to the community. The Edgar R. Garrett Speech and Hearing Center is a fee-for-service clinic where we offer in-person as well as telehealth services.
The Center provides diagnostic evaluations and therapy in the areas of speech, language, cognition, voice as well as feeding and swallowing for all people across the lifespan. Referrals are accepted form all sources (i.e., self, medical, school, nonprofessionals). All services are provided by graduate student clinicians and supervised by speech language pathologists who are licensed in New Mexico and hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
