Biography

Dr. Shivabasappa received her Ph.D. in Speech Language Pathology from All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, India. Prior to joining NMSU, she was a Post-doctoral fellow in Human Abilities in Bilingual Language Acquisition (HABLA) lab at the University of Texas at Austin.

She joined the Department in Spring 2022. Her research focuses on bilingual language development and language disorders with an emphasis on computational approaches to Language assessment and intervention in bilingual children.
